The Chart House Early Dining Menu has Standout flavors and steep discounts for their staple dishes. All with a breathtaking waterfront view of the Indian River Lagoon.

When you first step foot in Chart House, you will notice the bustle of the kitchen and bar located at the front of the restaurant. Waiters buzz by you with menus, dishes, and drinks as guests start to fill in. Every day from 4 pm-6 pm, the Chart House offers one of the most tantalizing Happy Hours in all of Melbourne. But discounted appetizers and cocktails aside, their lesser known “Early Dining” menu offers full 3-course meals at steeply discounted prices during that same 2-hour window.

When it comes to Early Dining, you may choose your entree, a Salad, and a Dessert for one price. The least expensive option, a Shrimp Linguini, can be ordered with your choice of options for just $23. However, whenever I’m in the mood for a nice early dinner, I always order the Chicken Balsamico with a Caeser Salad and a Chocolate Fudge Sunday. It’s hard to beat that value, when trips to “Budget” restaurants are approaching similar prices for meals with much less fanfare.

Perfectly crispy, and covered with goodness.

When you first see the chicken balsamico, you will immediately notice how artfully prepared it is. Perfectly tender, easy to cut, and SO crispy on the outside. Each bite is dressed up with the pesto butter, and sweet balsamic drizzle. A trinity tomatoes, artichokes, and capers on top, give their signature flavor notes to create an ensemble that is both delicious and satisfying.

The florentine mashed potatoes are the perfect compliment, offering a subtle but filling base for the rest of the flavors to stand upon.

The flavors and textures of this dish make it addicting to eat. I’ve had many friends envy this dish when it came to the table. After sharing a a bite, they will want the rest of it! This may be a good thing though, between the Salad, Main, and dessert, you get very full!

Chart House can be found on a peninsula between the Crane Creek and the Indian River, near Downtown. Parking is limited, but you can find extra spots at the public parks down the road.
